Kufuor Scholars visit Netherlands for New Business Challenge

3 Kufuor Scholars have visited the Netherlands as part of the New Business Challenge. The three are Joshua Owusu Ansah, Esther Adjoa Asamoah, and Gideon Agyapong.

The challenge allowed the scholars and other participants to learn about the business relationship between Ghana and the Netherlands, as well as interact and network. The visit also allowed them to explore entrepreneurial ideas and undertake other career development activities.

“For me, it is a fascinating opportunity. As a student, the opportunity granted me the avenue to meet new people whom I can build a network with. You never know the network might turn out positive in the future,” Joshua Owusu Ansah, one of the scholars said.

The scholars attributed their successful participation in the challenge to skills acquired in the Kufuor Scholars Program (KSP). “At KSP, I’ve learned how to be assertive, communicate well, and construct an attractive résumé. The New Business Challenge required a lot of public speaking and engaging with people. I believe I was one of the eight people chosen to fly to the Netherlands because of my communication skills which I learned at KSP,” Mr. Owusu Ansah said.

“I got to know about the new business challenge from the network of friends I made as a Kufuor Scholar, which I am grateful for,” Esther Adjoa Asamoah, one of the scholars also said.

Gideon Agyapong who was the third Kufuor Scholar participant said the scholars’ program encouraged them to try their hands on challenging opportunities and that motivated him to get interested in the challenge.
