Profiling the Kufuor Scholars: Jeremiah Benjamin Zor

Born at Juapong – Dorfor Nyagblorkpor in the Volta Region, Jeremiah Benjamin Zor is a financial accounting graduate from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). He subsequently served as a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Accounting and Finance upon graduation.

He is chairman of JBens Corporations, President of JBens Institute and the Lead researcher at Tiger Africa. He founded these organisations in 2013 to reconstruct and redefine educational modules in Africa. He believes, education stands as the lead tool to transform society and set the trade and industrialisation agenda for the continent.

Jeremiah is building career in pastoral ministry, accounting, law, auditing and tax administration. He believes history will someday acknowledge his passion towards Africa and humanity at large.

 

His areas of expertise include advanced financial accounting, taxation, auditing, accounting theory, intermediate financial accounting, financial management, strategic management, among others.

He has vast knowledge in international accounting standards, international financial reporting standards and the Institute of Chartered Accountants’ regulatory frameworks for accountants and auditors. He is abreast with Ghanaian Tax Acts and other fiscal and monetary policies. He is able to conduct internal audits, prepare budgets and develop budgetary control modules to trace cost drivers and overheads.

Jeremiah’s areas of research interest include organisational behavior, supply chain management, human resource management and entrepreneurship.

He is an ordained reverend minister of the International Central Gospel Church – Open Heavens Temple. He is a member of the intercessory, missions and evangelism team.
